About Me

I'm a senior at George Washington University studying International Affairs with a concentration in Africa and a minor in Journalism. My work sits at the intersection of global media, political communications, and advocacy.

I’m drawn to the gap between how the world is narrated and how it’s actually lived. That curiosity started in my home state of Texas, where interning as a political reporter at KXAN first sparked my obsession with politics and local storytelling. It took me to Morocco World News, where I reported on the impacts of USAID’s elimination on development in Morocco, helping American readers connect domestic policy decisions to their consequences abroad. At the Council on Foreign Relations, I examined how global media trends shape public perception of international issues.

Currently, I’m interning at NBC News on Capitol Hill, where I’m assisting in reporting on some of the most closely watched moments in recent political memory, including the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, the release of the Epstein files, and the State of the Union address. It has been one of the most formative experiences of my life. Watching seasoned journalists work in real time with urgency, precision, and purpose has only deepened my hunger to deliver the news on air myself one day.

I believe in showing up as a participant, not an observer. Studying abroad in Morocco and spending time in Senegal, I learned Darija and picked up Wolof out of a genuine desire to understand and connect with the communities I visit, not just pass through them. Those experiences have deepened my commitment to grounded, humanizing storytelling for a region that deserves more nuanced coverage.

My long-term goal is to work as a journalist on the African continent, covering politics, culture, conflict, and global issues as they unfold there.

When I'm not working, you can find me hunting for the perfect vintage find, scrapbooking, unrolling my yoga mat, or at the park with my six-year-old Pit Bull mix Rory.
